Some nights I stay up cashing in my bad luck
Some nights I call it a draw
Some nights I wish that my lips could build a castle
Some nights I wish they'd just fall off
But I still wake up,
I still see your ghost
Oh, Lord, I'm still not sure what I stand for
What do I stand for?
What do I stand for?
Most nights I don't know any more...
Just on iTunes buying music from the 80s, as I do, and I am specifically looking for Let’s Hear it for the Boy by Deniece Williams which happens to be from the Footloose soundtrack.
So I stumbled upon the remake Footloose soundtrack.
What the actual fuck.
Seriously.
What the actual fuck.
They country-fied the whole fucking thing. They remade AMAZING songs and made them shit.
Shit and country.
What is wrong with my generation?!!
Appreciate goddamn good music when you hear it please, you don’t have to fucking ruin something great by remaking it today.
If you are going to keep the original songs keep the “original songs” or use new ones. New as in completely different. Not the same lyrics or music or artist. Just different.
In 1984 they used the song Holding Out for a Hero by Bonnie Tyler during a game of chicken where they used tractors. The new version, aside from being country, is so slow. So. Slow. How is that good music for such an intense scene? They guy almost has a fucking tractor fall on his face! His face!
I don’t know if I can see this remake now. I gave Fame a chance (don’t even go there) and I was going to try Footloose but can I?
Also, they changed the Footloose song as well.
Yup.
The song that shares a name with the movie. It’s different.
Grow some originality and stop remaking movies or do it fucking right.
